Repairs and adjustments covered by these warranties are made at no charge for parts and labor. Coverage is automatically transfered at no cost to subsequent vehicle owners.
The car is 11 months/29K miles into the below warranties:
Basic (36 months/36K miles):
This warranty covers repairs and adjustments needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship of any part supplied by Scion, with the exception of wheel alignment and wheel balancing, which are covered for 12 months or 20,000 miles. (I have not needed to have the wheels aligned or balanced.)
Powertrain (60 months/60K miles):
This warranty covers repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship of any component in the following categories: Engine; Transmission & Transaxle; Front-Wheel-Drive System (The warranty manual lists the covered components under each category.)
Corrosion (60 months regardless of mileage):
This warranty covers repair or replacement of any original body panel that develops perforation from corrosion [rust-through] unless caused by improper care by owner.
Restraint Systems (60 months/60K miles):
This warranty covers reparis needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship of any seatbelt or air bag system supplied by Scion.
